Expert Groups

As the solution has the potential to become the basis for application in many other countries, the pilot will be coached and followed by two Expert Groups :

Irish National Expert Group

The project is overseen by an Irish Expert Group including representatives from the National Centre for Hereditary Coagulation Disorders, GS1 Ireland and the Irish Haemophilia Society. The expertise represented therefore covers care delivery parties, technical support and patients as the final users.

International Expert Group

The second Expert Group, the Global Consultation Group, specifically focuses on the applicability of the solution to countries other than Ireland - as such it has a considerable international representation.

External review, comments and suggestions are provided by the Global Consultation Group operating under the leadership of the WFH. This group includes representatives from regulatory authorities in North America (FDA), in Europe (EMEA), clinicians, consumers (WFH, IPOPI), governmental agencies (DG SANCO, HHS), industry (PPTA) and the not for profit manufacturing sector (EPFA, European Plasma Fractionation Association).

External review will be an important component in optimising the application of the project in Ireland and in defining the potential application of this project and methodology in other countries.
