The International Hospital Federation (IHF) joins GS1 effort to improve patient safety through global supply chain standards.
A joint pres release has been signed 23 March 2007 in Geneva and Brussels, announcing IHF joining the GS1 Global Healthcare User Group (GS1 HUG).
GS1 will participate to IHF activities to promote patient safety through global supply chain standards.
The Council of Europe publishes on March 19, 2007 a report on the enhancement of patient safety in the medication process. This report recommends (among else) adoption of GS1 Datamatrix to be labeled on the unit of use.
The French authorities publish on March 16, 2007 information about the adoption of GS1 Datamatrix for identification and traceability of pharmaceuticals.
The UK Department of Health adopts the GS1 system for the British Healthcare and joins the GS1 Global Healthcare User Group (GS1 HUG). see more....
