France : AFSSAPS adopts GS1

The "Journal Officiel" in France publishes the important information to the holders of market authorisation for pharmaceuticals. It regulates the transition from the current linear and 7 digits identifications to the new, GS1 conform Datamatrix, including GTIN, lot number and expiry date. The transition period runs from January 2008 to end of December 2010.
